Leeds United cult hero Ian Harte is set to play in the Premier League next season after securing promotion with current club AFC Bournemouth.

The 37-year-old left back has only featured 9 times this season for the Cherries but will be hoping to extending his stay at the club to ensure another crack at Premier League football after enjoying life in the top league with United and Reading.

His current deal expires at the end of this season but his experience would surely be invaluable to manager Eddie Howe as Bournemouth take a crack at the top flight for the firs time in their history.

The Leeds legend and free-kick specialist was ever-present during the glorious years of David O'Leary's stint as manager when the Mighty Whites were in the Premier League, scoring 39 goals in 288 games before leaving to join Spanish side Levante as part of the squad exodus that followed relegation in 2004.

Harte has now been promoted with two sides since Leeds fell out of the top flight, maybe we could do with bringing him back...
