Prwe-match quotes ahead of this afternoons Premiership home match against Bolton Wanderers. The game kicks-off at 1500 GMT and live commentry can be found on BBC Radio Five Live.

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce: "This club has never before been capable of getting into Europe two seasons on the trot but this season would be a failure if we didn't achieve it - and the players know it.

"The players were the ones who went spouting off after we had lost in Marseille saying they wanted more.

"They have said it, the challenge for them now is to go out and do it. Anything less is unacceptable."

Newcastle caretaker manager Glenn Roeder (on Jean-Alain Boumsong): "He's an extremely proud man. I've got to know him now and my feeling is - he's never spoken about it - but he will have been hurt by some of the criticism that he's had.

"But I believe he's a fighter and I believe he will want to turn it around, and he has shown in the last two games he has the ability to turn it around.

"We need him more than ever while Titus Bramble is out."
