Australian international defender Craig Moore tonight came through the Reserves game against Blackburn without injury. A Michael Chopra goal won the game for our Reserves, his 13th in 12 appearances, with Moore seeming to have played well and for the full 90 minutes too.
As reported on the official site, Moore did well after ten minutes to deal with a high cross with a header to Forster, with Paul Dickov lurking.
He was also equal to Byrom's cross destined again to Dickov on the half hour mark after good movement by Rovers.
After the half, he got in a good tackle on American Jamal Johnson, denying a shooting opportunity.
The Aussie also did well from an early Newcastle corner, having his header diverted to force a second corner.
Hopefully this (lasting) performance is another big step on the road to a first team place in the coming weeks...
