Newcastle's forgotten man, Aussie international defender Craig Moore, will take a step closer to featuring for the first team squad tonight when he appears for the Reserve side against Blackburn Rovers at Christie Park, Morecambe.

The defender has been named as a starter for the game, lining up in the middle of defence.

Hopefully the defender can complete a full game with no reaction to his hamstring injury which has forced him yet to appear in a competitive fixture for the Magpies.

Tommy Craig's team is as follows:

Fraser Forster, Craig Baxter, Chris Farman, Craig Moore, David Edgar, Kris Gate, Martin Brittain, Matty Pattison, Carl Finnigan, Michael Chopra, Phil Cave.

Subs: Liam Atkin, Mark Cook, Chris Shanks, Glenn Reay, Michael Terrell.
