Owen Back SOONER Than Expected

Micheal Owen has given Newcastle and England fans a boost by announcing he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a foot injury. Toon Want Hassan

Owen broke his foot against Tottenham and it was feared he would miss the rest of the season, even the World Cup.

 

But Owen says he is ahead of schedule.

 

Owen said:

 

"In the last couple of days I've started to run again so I think I'm nearly about halfway through my recovery,"

 

"It was difficult to start with because I couldn't really put any weight through my legs, so I've lost a little bit of muscle.

 

"But now I'm in the rehabilitation stage so hopefully I'll be back In a few more weeks."
