Bolton boss Sam Allardyce has reacted to speculation linking him as a replacement for Newcastle manager Graeme Souness, saying that it is unfair on this club and unfair on the Scot. Speaking to the Bolton Evening News, Allardyce said: "I do not like being linked to a club where another manager is in the job.

"It is unfair on me, it is unfair on this club and unfair on Graeme Souness. It just adds to the pressures."

However, if there was to be a vacancy, Allardyce did not rule himself out, adding: "You cannot stop speculation when there is a vacancy.

"But speculation before anything has happened is completely out of order."
