Week to Forget for Emre

Newcastle midfielder Emre has said it is a week to forget for him on a domestic and international level.

The Turkish international was part of the side that lost 3-0 to Chelsea whilst for Turkey, he played as they lost to the Swiss in the World Cup Qualifier play-off.

 

Emre said:

 

"We must go to Everton next week and try everything to get three points because we don't want to lose again."

"I am very sorry for the national team that we are not going to the World Cup.

"The World Cup is great to play in, but after the European Championships and now this World Cup we have missed two tournaments.

"We have a good team and we played well in the second game, and I'm sorry we won't be going."
