Admiration for new toon hero young Steven Taylor has been turned into regret and dissapointment as the youngster has been ruled out for 8 to 10 weeks.

Just last week fans were full of admiration for the 19 year old as he told of how he "yanked" his arm back into its socket and claimed he would play i a sling if he had to. He said: "I fell over in training on Tuesday and my shoulder just popped out.

"I yanked my arm back and it went back in, but it's still painful and I haven't got full movement in it.

"I'm gutted - first about missing the play-off against France and I'm also desperate to play against Chelsea - I'll play with my arm in a sling if I have to!"

However the results of the MRI scan prove to be very bad news for the youngster, Newcastle fans and Greame Souness.

"It's a blow to us," said Souness. "The specialist says he will be out longer than first anticipated, so that's bad news.

"It's eight to 10 weeks from when he did it, but I'm confident he may be back before that. He's a young lad and younger lads are quick healers.

Souness added on the club's official website, www.nufc.co.uk: "It's a shame for him as he was in possession of the shirt, but these things happen.

"We have got quality players to come in from the squad when we lose players through injury, and that's what will happen here."

Someone has to ask the question, so i will. Was it a mistake to yank the arm back in the socket?...what do you think
