Freddy Shepherd has insisted that Newcastle will not big any higher than £3.5 million for Fulham’s Luis Boa Morte.

Fulham Manager, Chris Coleman, wants £6 million for the left winger and revealed that he immediately dismissed Newcastle’s initial bid.

Coleman said:

"I don't consider that a serious offer. I won't go into details but we rejected it immediately."

But Freddy Shepherd insists that Newcastle will not increase their offer to the £6 million that Fulham want.

Shepherd said:

"The offer is certainly not derisory and we won't be budging."

The Portuguese midfielder has himself revealed to a newspaper in his home country that he would like to make a move to Newcastle.

Boa Morte said:

"Who doesn't aim to play at a great club, which takes part regularly in European competitions?"

“Representing Newcastle is different from being at Fulham. It's a bigger club with more projection and which has other ambitions," he added.
