Rumours have today surfaced that Real Madrid’s Guti might be a Newcastle United target after Arsenal said they weren't interested.

Guti is currently unsettled at Madrid and would be looking for a move away to gain first team football.

The £13 million rated midfielder said he had a desire to play in England, especially at Arsenal, but after being snubbed by Wenger, a host of English clubs are rumoured to be interested.

The 28-year-old has been linked to Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton, AC Milan and Juventus and rumours have been surfacing saying Newcastle are interested too.

Nothing has been confirmed, and a move seems unlikely as Newcastle have plenty midfielder’s, but fans are crying out for a new striker as the Magpies only have Shearer, Ameobi and Chopra for next season.
