Fenerbahce have warned both Newcastle United and Tottemham that French striker Nicolas Anelka is NOT for sale. The striker has recently been linked with a move back to the Premiership, having signed for the Turkish side from Manchester City in January. Despite Anelka himself claiming on Saturday that he is happy at Fenerbahce, rumours continued to circulate over his future.
Fenerbahce have confirmed that no offer has been recieved, and the player is not for sale.
Vice President Nihat Ozdemir said:
"No offer has been made to the player or ourselves.
"We didn't buy him to sell him. We're going to reach many big successes in Europe with Anelka.
"We constantly aim to improve our squad and therefore we won't sell Anelka.
"Whatever the offer, we won't let him go."
