Alex Ferguson has been found guilty of improper conduct and warned over his future conduct, following comments he made after the game at Newcastle United on April 24th. The complaints came after referee Neale Barry had not awarded a penalty following a challenge on Alan Smith. Magpies' defender Andy O'Brien appeared to have brought down Alan Smith in the penalty area in the first half, and after the game Ferguson had said: "It's getting ridiculous now.

"I'm not sure if they're instructed but it's sinister to me.

"We should have had a clear penalty today. It seems we are not going to get penalties, no matter what the circumstances."

Ferguson has denied the charge of improper conduct.
