Ambrose Offer Accepted

Newcastle United Chairman Freddy Shepherd has revealed that the club have accepted an offer from Charlton for Darren Ambrose.

This may come as a shock to many Newcastle United fans, who see Ambrose as quite a young talent.

He is fondly thought of by the Geordies, as last season he scored 2 goals, both of them late equalisers to give Newcastle a point.

Shepherd said:

"Charlton have made an offer that matches our valuation of the player.

"We have given Darren permission to speak to Charlton to discuss a possible move."

It is all down to Darren now, who may prefer Charlton who are more likely to offer first team football to the England Under-21 star.
