Toon Want Rid of Bellamy

Newcastle United must want rid of Craig Bellamy once and for all, by telling Celtic they cannot have him on loan.

Celtic wanted the striker on loan for another season but Newcastle have told them its cash, or no deal.

 

Newcastle Chairman Freddy Shepherd has rejected the loan bid, but has told Celtic they still have first option over him.

 

Shepherd said:

 

"We won't be letting him go on loan again

 

"We played fair with everyone by letting him go to Celtic on loan since the start of the year but we wouldn't and couldn't do that again.

 

 “If Celtic come in with an offer everyone knows we will help them in any way we can.

 

"When they took him on loan I promised them first option and I will honour my word."
