Jebediah's round-up of Mondays tabloid newspapers with stories involving Newcastle United.

Todays Sun is reporting that Celtic are ready to offer again for Newcastle striker Craig Bellamy. As the saga continues, there appears to be no way out for the Welshman, however it is suggested that Celtic are ready to break their wage structure and splash out £6m to bring Bellamy to Parkhead. It would be a massive coup for new manager Gordon Strachan, however persuading Bellamy might take some doing as he would rather stay in the Premiership and move to one of the top four clubs, rather than cross the border. However if the story is true, Celtic will be the first club who are going to match his Newcastle wages. If he is sensible, he will cut his strings and join the Hoops.

There could well be some substance in that story, as the Daily Mail and the Daily Star picked up on the same idea, with The Mail quoting a £5m fee instead of £6m.

The Mirror has reported that Newcastle midfielder Jermaine Jenas could be a target for Tottenham Hotspur. The interest has been mentioned before, and apparently Spurs will renew their interest as Newcastle continue to chase midfielders in the transfer market. According to The Mirror, Newcastle already recently turned a bid down for Jenas, but Tottenham could come back with a better offer.

Finally The Star has reported that Toon target Luis Fígo could be joining Premiership new boys West Ham. They are allegedly prepared to offer him £60k p/w, more than Newcastle are prepared to offer. Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd appears to be acting carefully after making Patrick Kluivert the clubs highest paid player turned out to be a mistake.
