Youngster Update: Paul Huntington

Having impressed for Newcastle and England Under 18's this season, 17-year-old Paul Huntington has signed his first professional contract with the club and is "absolutely delighted". The youngster picked up the 'Wor Jackie' Award this season - an award given to the most promising young player at the Academy.

PAUL HUNTINGTON: "It's great news, I am absolutely delighted. I had a great season last year and really enjoyed playing in a successful Newcastle side. Meeting up with the England squad was also very special.

"I just have to keep working hard and learning off the players and coaches here. The club has a history of giving young players a chance and I can hopefully follow in the footsteps of some of the other players who have gone on to play for the first team at St James' Park."
