Newcastle United and Inter Milan have agreed a £4 million fee for Turkish midfielder, Emre Belozoglu.

Graeme Souness is expected to fly out to Monaco tomorrow for talks with the Turkish-international over a potential move to St. James Park.

Newcastle face competition for the Inter-Milan star from Everton, who Newcastle seem to have beat for the signing of Scott Parker from Chelsea, despite the Toffee’s being able to offer Champions League football.

European champions Liverpool are also reported to be interested.

Geordie fans will also be pleased to hear that goalkeeping duo Shay Given and Steve Harper will remain at St. James Park for the considerable future.
