Villa Sign Hughes

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Newcastle United and Northen Ireland defender, Aaron Hughes.

Aston Villa had revealed they had a bid for Craig Bellamy and Aaron Hughes accepted but Newcastle denied it, but just days later Aaron Hughes completed the switch.

Hughes has made over 250 appearances for the Geordie’s in his time at the club and will be sorely missed by the fans, many of whom feel it was wrong to sell him.

The price been thrown about is a measly £1 million for a the Northern Ireland Captain that can perform capably across defence and in midfield if necessary and this will only enrage fans further.

I’m sure many Newcastle fans will want to thank Aaron for all he has done for the club, always putting 100% effort in and for always conducting himself in a professional manner. We’ll miss ya!
