Bellamy: Hom(ish) or Away

Craig Bellamy seems to be today’s target of the gossips. A trip to Bayern Munich? Or sitting comfortably at the Scottish club Celtic?

The words “very impressive” were used in recognition of Bellamy’s speed, talent and ability to score goals. However the words disruptive and unprofessional weren’t seen at all.

Could this turn out to be a battle of the bosses to take Craig on a permanent basis?  Peter Lawwell  (chief executive of Celtic) said the following

“I'm already on record as saying we'll do everything in our power to keep him at Celtic Park.”

Could we see a bidding war between the two clubs and what kind of money would they be prepared to part with for this “impressive” player?

Prices quoted from various media sources are between the 3m – 6m price range.

The Welshman is renown for his speed however it comes hand in hand with the anti social behaviour he expresses. A war of words seem to have broken out since Craig was sent packing to Celtic on loan not only between him and the papers but also between him and the players at NUFC.

Rumours suggested phone calls and text messages were sent to skipper Alan Shearer’s mobile from Craig laughing at the fact his former team were booted out of the FA cup last week by Manchester United saying he was rooting for Manchester united rather than supporting his old colleagues.

If true then bang out of order – however if untrue then the papers had a great story last weekend.

However saying that there is always the slim chance that he grace’s the pitch at St James’ Park once again wearing the black and white stripes of Newcastle – or perhaps not.
