Shearer: I MAY PLAY ON

Newcastle skipper Alan Shearer has said he might so a u-turn on his decision to retire at the end of the season.

It is believed that the former-England captain would call it a day, following his rejection of Graham Souness’ appeal to stay on another year.

But the 34-year-old hit man is no longer sure over whether to hang his boots up or not.

Shearer said:

“The manager has said he wants to keep chipping away and talking with me.”

“I will sit down with him, he will put his point across and I will put mine across and we will see what happens.”

Shearer scored his 400th career goal against Southampton on Saturday.
