Dyer Fears: Fans May Never Forgive Me

Magpies' midfielder Kieron Dyer has thanked manager Graeme Souness for his support and backing, but admits that sections of the St James' Park crowd may never forgive him for refusing to play out of position under Sir Bobby Robson. KIERON DYER: "A few of the fans may never forgive me and rightly so because what I did at the start of the season was wrong.

"But I am grateful to those who have backed me.

"The manager has put a lot of faith in me which has boosted my confidence and the fans have also given me a second chance to be honest."
