Laurent Robert is almost certain to leave the club in January - but where will he go? Barcelona, Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia, Marseille and Paris Saint Germain have all shown interested, but it is understood that Robert would prefer a move within English football. Sky Sports reported that the biggest interest within England football is actually rumoured to be from Liverpool.

Robert started the weekend's game against Liverpool on the bench, but did make an appearance in the second half - after James Milner started on the left wing.

Speaking to 'France Football', Robert said: "If nothing changes, I seriously think to talk about my case with the officials.

"I want to talk with them to take a true decision.

"I want to know if they still rely on me.

"Indeed, I have contacts. The clubs are not stupid! They can see I don't play a lot but, when I play, I am good.

"People talked about Valencia, but there are other clubs that follow me in that country.

"In England, I also have contact with top clubs.

"I still favour England. I feel at ease in that league.

"A comeback to Le Championnat is not impossible even if it is not my priority.

"My wages are not a problem.

"I can also be loaned out, at least until the end of the season."
