Charles N'Zogbia has been given the green light to play for Newcastle United. The Magpies' are delighted, following a long battle with his club Le Havre, who insisted he was still contracted to them - a compensation fee had to be agreed.
However, all has been resolved and Newcastle have been told they must pay in the region of £60,000 training compensation.
A club spokesman said: "Newcastle United today received notification from FIFA of the decision reached by the dispute resolution chamber in the case of the player Charles N'Zogbia.
"The outcome is that the player is entitled to be registered for Newcastle United and that he can resume playing with immediate effect.
"Le Havre is entitled to training compensation from the club in accordance with the figures set out in FIFA's regulations for the status and transfer of players. All other claims made by Le Havre were rejected."
It means that N'Zogbia can now play for Newcastle.
