Newcastle United midfielder Kieron Dyer talks about the weekends 4-0 defeat by Chelsea. It was 'embarrassing' for Dyer, who is finding it hard to take anything positive out of the game. Kieron also apologises to the fans who made the treck to London.
On Saturday's game, Dyer said:
"It's a worrying time for us. Something is wrong and it has to be addressed. We're doing well in patches of games but not performing over the full 90 minutes.
"It was embarrassing. I have a lot of mates at Chelsea and the texts have started.
"It's hard to take any positives from a game like that and we can't be happy after a 4-0 loss.
"We apologise to the fans who travelled and to the manager.
"We're making silly mistakes and it's costing us because the top teams don't make such mistakes.
"We did and we were clinically punished.
"We have to get the Chelsea result out of our system, so the Portsmouth game is a mammoth one for us."
