Bramble: Souness Has Changed Our Attitudes

The arrival of Graeme Souness at St James' Park, has seen a change in attitude from the playing squad. As Titus Bramble says, too many of the squad used to go out too much, and allow thier social life to affect thier game. Since Souness' arival, Bramble hasn't been out as much and has instead been concentrating on his performances on the pitch. BRAMBLE IS HAPPY THOUGH, AND EXPLAINED:

"I don't tend to go out much at all these days and it's the same for the rest of the lads.

"The personal abuse was hard to take - even though a lot of the stuff about us was exaggerated.

"But when the boss came in, we were reminded it's all about football.

"I've become a much stronger person and that's helped me focus on my football.

"The past is the past and I've realised it's the most important part of my life after my family. It's not as if this is a long career.

"It's about thinking to yourself that you're in the game for years and giving your all during that period.

"Anything you do after that is fine but right now, all I'm interested in doing is performing to the best of my ability."
