24-year-old Norwegian defender Brede Hangeland is rumoured to be attracting the interest of both Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur.

Norwegian defender Brede Hangeland is rumoured to be attracting the interest of Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur.

He is valued at £3 million by his current club, Viking who are aware of the interest shown by English clubs. Previously, Hangeland has been on trial with Everton and was tracked by Arsenal earlier in his career.

Born in Texas, but a regular for Norway, 24-year-old Hangeland, who has 3 years left to run on his deal at Viking admitted he would prefer a move to London based club Spurs and that they are in the driving seat in the race to sign him.
