Robson Comments on his Future - 'Why Stop?'

Sir Bobby Robson will be taking a short time away from the game before making an announcement on his future after being sacked as manager of Newcastle United on Monday morning. Robson will however remain a fan at the club... Newcastle's "biggest fan".

Robson was quoted on Monday as to saying:

"I am sorry to leave. It's a sad day for me but life goes on and Newcastle goes on and I have had a marvellous time.

"This has been my club since my father brought me here and I am black and white through and through.

"I wish the club every success in the world and I will be their biggest fan now.

"I feel absolutely fine. I am fit and have the energy and desire to carry on working in the game.

"It still gives me the same buzz that it has always done.

"Why should I stop working while that is the case?

"I never wanted to be in any other place but Newcastle United. And I would not be being truthful if I did not admit to being shocked and massively disappointed.

"I will now take a break and see what happens."
