Carr Looking Forward to St James' Park Move

Stephen Carr - Newcastle United's latest signing (subject to a medical) - is looking forward to a move to St James' Park, and could even make his debut on Saturday against Middlesbrough (if he agrees personal terms and his medical gives the all clear - and ofcourse, if the game actually goes ahead!)

An undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £2m, has been agreed with Tottenham for the defender who has made his way to Newcastle for his medical.  Depending on the outcome, fans could see the move sealed within the next 48 hours.

Carr IS excited at the prospect of his move, but has admitted that he wants to wait until everything is signed and sealed before saying too much.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Carr said:

"I am very excited about joining Newcastle, but I have got a medical and, hopefully, it will go well and I will get through it.

"I would rather not talk about it as I have to prepare for a medical.

"I am very excited and hopefully it all goes through."
