Alan Shearer has firmly denied that he will be moving abroad to complete his football career once his contract with Newcastle United is up at the end of next season.

He has squashed rumours that he will not see out the end of next season by saying

"There has been interest in me from several clubs,

But my ideal would be to stay here and play out my last season and win something.“

Alan Shearer, aged 33 who set the premiership scoreboards alight again last season by scoring 22 league goals in 37 starts declared

"I am always happy to pull on the new shirt here - everyone knows that."

Shearer had been linked with a move to Italy but that was quickly put to a stop - however it is thought that he has also been offered a rather large deal to play a season in the Qatari league.
