I'm summing up what I've gathered from various press reports etc, so this is a list of players we've been linked with and/or declared interest in. Dunno why im doing this just so many RB's being linked all the time, felt like making it clear and thought i'd share it with yez all.

Hatem Trabelsi (Ajax) - as far as I know we've made a bid which was rejected and are still trying for him. Don't know if he'd be interested or if we'll be able to talk Ajax down to a low enough price. Possibly the top target at the moment? Is reasonably old at 27.

Steve Carr (Spurs) - Spurs appear to want silly money for him considering he's off contract next summer. £3.5 million has been mentioned, but theres no way we'll pay that and he could end up leaving them either on the cheap in January or on a free next summer. The longer the summer drags on with no agreement for him, the lower his price will get, or so I'd imagine. Also 27. A reliable Spurs source (my cousin) tells me they plan to offer him a new deal this summer and if he rejects it then let him leave for £1/2 million.

Danny Mills (Free agent) - doesn't seem to be a very popular choice among the fans. Not a world class player, not even the class of the above two, but on the plus side he'd be free and is experienced and not a TERRIBLE player...i wouldn't be mad keen on getting him.

Gourkas Seitaridis (Panathanaikos) - Looks a good player form what i've seen in the Euros so far, but the word is that he's joining Porto as a replacement for the Chelski bound Paulo Ferreira, who we were also linked with. So if you believe the rumours, Chelski have directly and then indirectly cost us two possible buys. Just like last summer - they pumped Blackburn with money buying Duff, and Blackburn nicked Emerton from under wor noses.

Mario Melchiot (Free agent) - Looks to be deed in the water as it seems like he's heading to Sunny Spain. Villareal have declared an interest.

Glenn Johnson (Chewsee) - not really been much of a rumour but i've heard a couple of people suggesting we should go for him on a season long loan if Chelski get Ferreira.

Mark Delaney (Villa) - apparently having a contract dispute with Villa and could be available at a cut price. Has been mentioned in a couple of papers but not exactly heavily linked.

Miguel Monteiro (Benfica) - Also probably deed as a fee of £7 million was mentioned and he's been linked with Deportivo.

Michael Reiziger (Free agent) - Doubt it, but could be a target if a few of the others fall through. Was at Barca during Bobbys reign as 'technical director' or whatever they made him do for a year.

I'm sure there've been others, someone from Auxerre whose name i can't remember was linked, but that won't happen. Tell me if i've forgotten anyone major.
