The 21 year old is apparently idolised in Egypt and the public cannot get enough of him. It is said that when things didn’t go his way at Ajax he responded by encouraging bad publicity on the club and threatening to quit. Leaving the fans angry at his actions and withdrawing all support for him.

Mido – known as Ahmed “Mido” Hossam has a huge following in his home country and it sometimes gets in the way of playing football.

Koeman also said

"He thinks that scoring is enough and I fought with him because you must be more in football, you have to work for the team. He must learn."
