According to the Sun and Marc Overmars agent, Newcastle have held talks with Overmars regarding a summer move to St James Park. It is also claimed that they are interested in signing his fellow Dutchman Mario Mechiot. This folows on Sir Bobby's addmission yesterday, that he was interested in Portuguese international defender Miguel Monteiro, as he attempts to rebuild his squad ahead of next years campaign.

Although there is still interest in Danny Mills and a close watch is being kept on the situation, it looks increasingly like Sir Bobby is changing his mind on the Leeds defender.
