Nobby: Aston Villa Could Be As Big As Newcastle

Aston Villa midfielder Nobby Solano is convinced that the Midlands club can become as big as his former side, Newcastle United.

Solano said:

"Villa can be as big as Newcastle, but Newcastle were building a team slowly from four years ago. When Bobby Robson arrived he tried to buy players and he built slowly.

"This season here is nearly over but we definitely want to fight and to challenge. Next season it will be different if we get maybe two more players in the team, and then we can challenge Liverpool and Newcastle.

"I can see the same kind of things happening here now under David O'Leary as when Bobby took over at Newcastle. Both clubs were down near the bottom when they took over. It is a similar situation."
