BARCA LOSE PATIENCE WITH KLUIVERT

Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert is expected to be offloaded at the end of the season, after president Joan Laporta has grown exasperated by Kluivert's recent declarations in the media in which the club's management was criticised.

Barcelona are now reportedly seeking talks with Manchester Unietd over Ruud van Nistelrooy (although these have been rubbished by the Premiership club) and also Juventus' David Trezeguet, it appears that Laporta has finially lost patience with the Dutchman.

Barca coach Frank Rijkaard however, would like to see Kluivert end his contract (he has two years left), but Laporta is convinced that Barca cannot afford to keep Kluivert at the club.

Newcastle United have been linked with Kluivert and will no doubt he keeping an eye on what goes on in Spain.  They are expected to make some sort of enquiry about his availability.
