Preliminary Talks Held With Kluivert

Newcastle United have held preliminary talks with Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert. Jimmy Walker

KLUIVERT TALKS HELD

According to the Daily Star Sunday, the Magpies' have been in touch with the Dutch striker about a possible move to St James' Park next season.

Kluivert can leave the Nou Camp for £1.5 million in the summer and has been offered to several Premiership clubs by the Spannish club's chiefs.

The move from Newcastle comes following the news that skipper Alan Shearer will hang up his boots at the end of next season.
