Manager Sir Bobby Robson is refusing to look at what lies after the Real Mallorca clash, despite the UEFA Cup draw showing a fairly straight-forward route to the final. Jimmy Walker

ROBSON LOOKING FORWARD TO MALLORCA

The Magpies' will have to face either Auxerre or PSV Eindhoven in the fifth round if they were to defeat Mallorca over two legs and then could potentially meet either Liverpool or Celtic in the semi-final.

Robson's men have seen off NAC Breda, FC Basel and Valerenga in previous rounds of the competition and Sir Bobby is now focused on beating Real Mallorca - and nothing else!

"We aren't even thinking about playing Tottenham on Sunday - all we are thinking of is trying to get a good result in our first leg against Real Mallorca to take out there with us in the second leg," said Sir Bobby.

"We do not want to look too far ahead and think about beating this team or that team, we have to stay focused and do the job against Mallorca. After that, we can look forward."

Robson was watching as Real Mallorca went down 3-2 at Barcelona in the Primera Liga on Sunday and is expecting a physical test on Thursday evening at St James' Park.

"They are a big side, I think they only had one player who was under six foot so they will try and cause us problems," he added.

"I saw them against Barcelona and at 3-0 down they were a beaten side, but they kept pressing and scored two late goals.

"We have to respect them, because like ourselves they have overcome three teams to get to this stage. We're in the last 16 now, and every team in the last 16 must have something."

The news that Kieron Dyer, Craig Bellamy and Darren Ambrose are back into the squad is a boost for Sir Bobby, while Olivier Bernard returns from his one-game suspension.

"Lee Bowyer is still suspended and Andy Griffin in injured, but apart from that I think we're OK," he added.

"Kieron Dyer, Craig Bellamy and Darren Ambrose are in the squad and available for selection. They have all come through the week well and declared themselves fit, so I'll have to decide what to do now."
