Shearer Laughs Off Gullit Comments

Alan Shearer has laughed off Ruud Gullit's words, as the former Newcastle boss described him as the most over-rated player in the game and a "rotten apple". Jimmy Walker

SHEARER LAUGHS OFF GULLET

Shearer fell out of favour with Gullit but was restored to the team when Sir Bobby Robson replaced the Dutchman as Newcastle manager.

Speaking about the story, Shearer said:

"I can do nothing but chuckle about [the story]. I leave it up to other people to judge me and it's not for me to comment on this."
