SHEARER'S RETIREMENT PLANS

"It will be Alan's decision - not mine, the chairman's or the public's," said Robson.

"He's a strong personality and will decide whether this time next year he retires.

"But I will look at him and tell him 'Alan, you've still got a little bit more to give' or 'Alan, you're right'."
