Shearer disapointed in Newcastle

Alan Shearer has talked about his disapointment of the season so far. Compared to last season where we were at least challenging for hounours at this stage, I suppose he has a point. He states that the Uefa cup should be our main goal this season, even at the expensive of a champions league place.

Now personally I would love to see silverware at St James, but I also want to get back to champions league football, which I honestly believe if we had strengthened in the summer, we would be playing this season.

Again January came and went, with only the one free signing, is this the sign of a club with ambition?

Its time Freddy, put his hand in his pockets and gave us a side capable of a serious challenge. If you count our main rivals as the top three, they have all moved on while we have remained static. Its time for another investment or 2.

Lets hope we can line the streets on Newcastle and cheer the lads home with the throphy, but let it just be a start, not the end.
