Newcastle United could be set for an exhausting seven days if they make it through to the UEFA cup quarter Finals. The Fixture list looks something like this….. Newcastle United could be set for an exhausting seven days if they make it through to the UEFA cup quarter Finals

The Fixture list looks something like this…..

Newcastle would play the first leg of the quarter final of the UEFA cup and then travel to St Mary’s to play Southampton in the Premier League on the 10th of April.

On Easter Monday Arsenal are set to travel to St James’ Park and following that would be the second leg of the UEFA cup.

It has been suggested that the Southampton match should be played on the day of the FA Cup Quarter final rather than the already arranged date but Southampton appear to have dismissed the idea. – If this were to take place Newcastle would be given time to catch their breath before their Monday game.

Sky Sports have also shown a great interest in Showing the Newcastle v Arsenal game on the Sunday rather than the Monday – bringing it forward a day - which would leave a short gap for both teams between games – as Arsenal are already playing Liverpool on the Saturday – two games in two days is almost ridiculous!

Fans and players alike will be delighted with a win over Norwegian Valerenga, despite the short time gaps – and we look forward to the action packed week that April will hopefully bring us!!!
