"THANK YOU" - CLARK

Lee Clark said: "It was a very special night right from leading out the team with my son to the tremendous ovation I got from the supporters at the end.

"It brought a lump to my throat. I will treasure the memory for the rest of my life. It was a night of mixed emotions because I came here to do a job for Fulham, but we failed even though I thought we played well.

"The Louis Saha saga has finished. Good luck to the lad, who I think is a fantastic player. He's going to pastures new and one of the biggest clubs in the Europe if not the biggest and we as fellow players wish him all the success in the world.

"I was at Newcastle when we sold Andy Cole. We kicked on from there and went and got Les Ferdinand and got Alan Shearer.

"It's just football. When you are doing well, big clubs will go in for you."
