SOLANO BACKS AMBROSE

Newcastle United winger Nobby Solano is backing teenager Darren Ambrose to be success at St James' Park.

"Although he is still very young, Darren did really well at Ipswich and came to Newcastle with a big reputation," said the Peruvian.

"But he has had to wait for his chance and he has worked very hard to earn that opportunity since he signed; he will really start to come into his own when he starts to play more games.

"He's picking up some useful experience by being on the bench and by coming on as a substitute, that will stand him in good stead because he is still learning the game.

"Darren is a good young player and I am sure he will go on to become an important part of our team. It is just a case of him continuing to work hard for that chance. When it comes, he will prove how good he is."
