ROBSON STAYING ON

Newcastle United have joined Spurs in scouting Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

The youngster has been outstanding at Tynecastle this seasonand it has been reported that Newcastle boss Sir Bobby Robson has had scouts check on Gordon during a recent trip north.

Why Newcastle need a new keeper, I do not know as Shay Given has been playing outstandingly recently, but perhaps back-up is a good idea with Steve Harper reportedly wanting a move out.
