Although he isn't getting first team action at Newcastle United, midfielder Hugo Viana is remaining a massive hit in his home country, Portugal. Hugo Viana has been signed up by Pepsi to front their advertising campaign before and during next year's Euro 2004 competition.
VIANA'S PEPSI CAMPAIGN
Along with Barcelona winger Ricardo Quaresma, Hugo Viana has been signed up by Pepsi to front their advertising campaign before and during next year's Euro 2004 competition.
Sporting Lisbon are keen to bring Viana back to Portugal (on loan) next month and coach Fernando Santos said: "In principle, we are not in the market to strengthen our squad in January - but Hugo Viana's situation is special.
"If it is possible for us to sign him, he will come."
Perhaps this will boost Hugo's chances of earning a call-up to the Portuguese national side?
