ROBSON BLASTS SQUAD

Newcastle United manager Sir Bobby Robson has blasted those first team players who are contstantly moaning about lack of action.

Both Nobby Solano and Shola Ameobi have expressed their frustration this week at the lack of senior action they have seen so far this season, but Robson said: "They don't worry about these kind of things when they are signing their new contracts in the summer.

"They ask us for contracts and we give them contracts. I think the players should be reminded of that. They're all happy to sign these contracts, new contracts, better contracts.

"They do not worry about being out of the side when they are signing them, do they? If they were they would not sign their contracts, would they?

"I understand the players and I understand these situations; but I can only put 11 people into the team. Contracts are contracts and these players have got to honour them."
