Alan Smith - Not For Sale!
By Kyle Braithwaite
December 3 2003
Leeds United and England international forward Alan Smith will not be for sale during the transfer window, if Sheikh Abdulrahman buys the club.
Alan Smith will not be leaving Leeds Untied during the January transfer window, if Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa buys the football club.
The England international striker had been liked with Manchester United, Liverpool and of course Newcastle United, for a January transfer move.
However it now looks like Magpies’ manager Sir Bobby Robson will have to look else-where for a new forward this Christmas.
Sheikh a life-long fan of the Yorkshire club said: “if I buy the club Alan Smith and all the jewels of the club will not be sold off – they are the heart of Leeds United.”
