Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has praised Alan Shearer for his 8 game stint as manager at the club and hopes the former United skipper will sign up for a more permanent role. Shearer left the club today having failed to reach an agreement with Mike Ashley and the board.
Taylor who has already committed himself to the club said;
"The club means so much to him. The fans love him, and he was hurt like we were about relegation.
He has been unbelievable. The only one person who I think can take us back up is Alan. He has been fantastic to work with.
Let's hope we get the chance to work with him again.
We thought we were going to get out of it, but it is starting to sink in now.
We have got to deal with it and put ourselves back up there in the Premier League with no mistakes next year.
We need stability so we can move on as a football club and look to the future."
