Newcastle's Ignacio Gonzalez is back in training and hoping to have an influence on the team as he prepares for his comeback. The Uruguay International has made just two substitute appearances this season, both in the early stages of the campaign, before picking up an Achilles injury which has kept him out since.
Coach Ian Dowie confirmed the midfielder's return to training and has pencilled in the Liverpool fixture as a return date.
Dowie said; "Nacho has had an Achilles problem for a while. He's back and he's been training with me for three or four days. He will fully train again on Thursday and then we will look at giving him a game in the reserves at Liverpool next week."
The 26 year old is on a season long loan from Valencia.
if i had the patience to select a smiley in return, i would go for the one which is slightly bashful, yet cheeky, a touch playful, but full of respect...you know the one, dont you?
We may as well try him against them, a game where we'll get nothing from it, got nothing to lose there, the other 4 games are a bit more of a risk though. And wasn't he pencilled in for the Portsmouth game?
