Michael Owen has confirmed that he has inked in the 14th March as his return date. He confirmed his intentions to play a part in Newcastle's clash against Hull City in tomorrow night's match programme. Owen who is currently recovering from an ankle injury and a second hernia operation has had the date pencilled in for the past 3 weeks but his recuperation has gone to plan.
His comeback has now been confirmed by himself and caretaker manager Chris Hughton.
Owen wrote in the programme;
"This match (Man Utd) looks like it has come just too early, but had there been a match this weekend I'd have been fit and ready for it.
As it is, the trip to Hull in ten days' time looks nailed on for my return to action and I can hardly wait to get back from this ankle injury and help the lads in the fight to pull away to safety - a fight we are confident we will win."
Chris Hughton added;
"Michael Owen will be available for the Hull game. He will train the latter part of this week and into next week and that will be very good for us."
Aye, lets hope that the management have the balls to maybe play Owen, Martins and Viduka together like we did towards the end of last season. Just feel we are no where near good enough or strong enough to sit back or to battle with the likes of stoke.
Get stuck into them cause its not working at the mo.
