Klose Too Good For Toon?

Newcastle United manager Glenn Roeder has said although he has interest in signing Miroslav Klose, he might be too good for Newcastle to sign.

Klose was the top scorer in the 2006 World Cup and may want to play for a club who has Champions League football.

Newcastle are preparing to unveil their new signing, Damien Duff, but still need to add to the strikers with Shola Ameobi being the only recognised forward.

But Roeder admits Klose may be one step too high.

Roeder said:

“Miroslav Klose is a top-drawer player, the leading scorer at the World Cup finals,"

"I think that I will say what the chairman says, that I'm not ruling anyone in or out.

"Klose could possibly be looking for a Champions League club after winning the golden boot and we perhaps don't fit his remit if he were to move. But you can't help but admire his ability."
